Air India Express expands with new daily routes from Gwalior to Delhi and Bengaluru starting January 16th, enhancing connectivity.

Air India Express has recently initiated new flight paths originating from Gwalior, connecting it directly to two key urban centers – Delhi and Bengaluru. These routes are set to begin operations from January 16th, offering daily non-stop services that aim to enhance the travel network in and out of Gwalior. This development follows shortly after the airline’s introduction of direct flights connecting Gwalior with Hyderabad.

The inaugural service for the Bengaluru-Gwalior route, designated as flight IX 1590, is scheduled to take off on January 16, 2024, at 05:10 hours and is expected to land in Gwalior at 07:45 hours. The return journey, flight IX 1592, will depart from Gwalior at 15:35 hours and reach Bengaluru at 18:10 hours. For the Gwalior-Delhi route, flight IX 1590 is planned to leave Gwalior at 08:15 hours, arriving in Delhi at 09:20 hours, with the return flight, IX 1592, scheduled to depart from Delhi at 13:35 hours and arrive in Gwalior at 15:00 hours.

Ankur Garg, the Chief Commercial Officer at Air India Express, commented on this route expansion, highlighting the airline’s dedication to enhancing the connectivity of India’s emerging tier 2 and 3 cities. He noted that the new services from Gwalior to Delhi and Bengaluru are a testament to this commitment. Additionally, he mentioned that these flights are part of a broader initiative to link Gwalior with 21 major destinations via one-stop routes through Bengaluru, Delhi, and Hyderabad. He also emphasized that the Delhi-Gwalior flight provides seamless via-connectivity for Gwalior’s residents to Ayodhya.

Reservations for these daily direct flights between Gwalior, Delhi, and Bengaluru are now open and can be made through Air India Express’s acclaimed mobile application and website, airindiaexpress.com, as well as on other prominent booking platforms.

The airline has also detailed its comprehensive schedule of 344 weekly flights from Bengaluru, offering direct links to 22 locations. From Delhi, the airline ensures direct connections to 17 destinations with 259 weekly flights. In Hyderabad, Air India Express maintains a schedule of 108 weekly flights, connecting directly to 12 destinations.

On December 20, Air India Express expanded its network by initiating operations from Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, marking its 45th station. The airline also made headlines as the first to launch a direct flight from Surat to Dubai on the same day that the new international terminal at Surat International Airport was inaugurated.
