On January 17, Air India Express will start operating flights from Ayodhya to major cities like Bengaluru and Kolkata. People cannot hold back their excitement as the 22nd of January, 2024, marks the official opening of Ram Mandir.

This will be a holy precinct rather than merely a tourist destination, which will undoubtedly result in a steady influx of both tourists and devotees. With direct flights on these routes, the airline will greatly increase connectivity to and from its third station in Uttar Pradesh, Ayodhya.

Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya Dham will begin its Air India Express service between Ayodhya and Delhi on December 30, 2023.

Beginning at 08:05 on January 17, 2024, and arriving in Ayodhya at 10:35, this is the inaugural flight that will operate the Bengaluru-Ayodhya route. The return flight is scheduled to depart from Ayodhya at 15:40 and arrive in Bengaluru at 18:10.

The flight on the Ayodhya-Kolkata route is scheduled to depart Ayodhya at 11:05 and arrive in Kolkata at 12:50. At 13:25, the Kolkata-Ayodhya flight will take off, landing in Ayodhya at 15:10.

Ankur Garg, who is the Chief Commercial Officer of Air India Express, told the media that the gateway to the holy city will be easier with the opening of Bengaluru and Kolkata transits. This would provide pilgrims from South India as well as Eastern India with convenient one-stop itineraries.

Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia told the media that Ayodhya Airport will open its doors to more devotees and visitors, and this will be marked as a historic day for the nation.

The Air India Express network includes Ayodhya as its third airport in Uttar Pradesh, after Varanasi and Lucknow. Both domestic and international routes are connected by the airline to Uttar Pradesh.

The airline links the holy city to Bengaluru and Sharjah with a weekly schedule of 21 flights. Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, is connected to Dubai and major Indian cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Pune through 60 weekly flights operated by Air India Express.
