To Ayodhya from Delhi, the national capital, Air India Express will start its inaugural flight on December 30th, 2023, and from January 16th, it will introduce scheduled daily service on the route.
At Ayodhya, the Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport, has an extended runway that is appropriate for A-321/B-737 type aircraft operations. Before the consecration ritual at the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22nd, the airport will be inaugurated for public use.
Air India Express in a release on Wednesday, said that the inaugural flight IX 2789 on December 30th has been planned to Delhi airport at 1100 hours and touch the ground in Ayodhya at 1220 hours. IX 1769 is scheduled to depart from Ayodhya for Delhi at 1250 hours and reach at 1410 hours.
Aloke Singh, the airline’s Managing Director said that Air India Express is quite thrilled to start its operations from Ayodhya right after the airport is inaugurated. This underscores their commitment to improve connectivity from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities all over India. A subsidiary of Air India, this airline on an everyday basis operates more than 300 flights. It has a fleet of 59 aircraft. Aviation regulator DGCA on December 14th, issued the aerodrome licence for the upcoming Ayodhya airport.
