UK afflicted with yellow weather warnings post Christmas

After people had lingered in the festive mood of Christmas, the volatile rain and wind all of a sudden turned the joyous situation into a topsy-turvy one. 

In the United Kingdom, the weather will continue to remain unsettling as the weather forecast is comprehended. 

As the low-pressure system moves across the United Kingdom on December 26, the Met Office informed the media that many people will likely experience breezes and rainy conditions for the remainder of the week.

Christmas Day at 7.40 p.m., a yellow ice warning was issued for northern Scotland, and it is expected to remain in effect until Boxing Day at 10 a.m.

When the snow melts, ice is likely to form in key towns like Aberdeen and Inverness, which could make travelling challenging.

Met Office meteorologist Greg Dewhurst told the media that wintry showers will continue to pour in from the North throughout the day, making for a chilly start to Boxing Day.

This uneven resultant situation happened after the forecasters declared officially about the White Christmas. Alongside this, the snow rained across different parts of Scotland over Christmas. 

The maximum daily minimum temperature for Christmas Day was surpassed farther south.

From 9 a.m. on Christmas Eve to the same time on Christmas Day, the Met Office reported that neither Exeter Airport nor East Malling in Kent saw temperatures drop below 12.4C (54.3F).

In continuation of the mayhem that many people faced in the days preceding Christmas, the Met Office told the media that strong wind and rain might cause travel disruptions.

The meteorologist Dewhurst told the media that strong winds will affect the coat in the west and south,  

Across the western regions of England and Wales, heavy rainstorms are predicted; snowfall is also possible in some areas of Scotland.

Last-minute vacation plans were put in jeopardy on Christmas Eve when flying debris and power outages occurred. Passengers had to wait up to 90 minutes to cross the Channel at the Port of Dover in Kent.
