Kerala Tourism Minister Shri P A Mohamed Riyas said that the government will be revealing an all-inclusive master plan, ‘Mission 2030,’ for the tourism division in 2024. Speaking at a discussion on tourism held in Thiruvananthapuram inclusive of Keraleeyam, Minister Riyas said that the master plan will specify rules and proposals on matters comprising growing tourism’s input to the GDP of Kerala from the present 12 percent to 20 percent. Concerning dry day, a decision will be taken following considerations with the Excise Minister, said Riyas.
Minister Riyas said that Kerala Tourism’s principal emphasis next year will be making use of privateinvestment on a greater measure, and the government alone cannot attain the aim of increasing Kerala’sexistence on the worldwide tourism field. Minister Riyas said that speedy decentralization in tourism segment is also foreseeable to make the whole state gain advantage from tourism.
Riyas said that the two-day Tourism Investors Meet, planned on November 16, is an essential effort in this direction which will also aid as a site for talking about new notions and prospects with financiers. He said that they have to surge private funding in tourism segment where cooperative segment and individuals can also collaborative with the government.
