Emerging as the undisputed leader in Alaskan getaways, Princess Cruises has unveiled an exclusive Katmai National Park Cruisetour for the upcoming 2024 season, further intensifying the exploration of Alaska’s captivating wildlife.

Now available for booking, the 9-day Katmai National Park Cruisetour encompasses a two-night stay in Anchorage. Here, guests are presented with the unique opportunity to engage in an intimate bear-watching experience at Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park. This distinctive encounter immerses travelers in the heart of Alaska’s untamed wilderness, enabling them to observe these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. The cruisetour seamlessly blends this land adventure with a seven-day Voyage of the Glaciers cruise, featuring a coveted visit to Glacier Bay National Park and breathtaking glacier views at College Fjord or Hubbard Glacier.

In addition to the bear-watching experience, the itinerary includes a visit to Alaska’s premier Wildlife Conservation Center, situated just outside Whittier. This dedicated sanctuary plays a vital role in conserving Alaska’s wildlife through education, research, and quality care. Guests will have the chance to encounter a diverse array of wildlife, including moose, muskox, reindeer, wolves, lynx, caribou, and more.

Scheduled to depart between June 8 and August 29, 2024, a total of 32 cruisetours are available. Guests can opt for either 16 northbound Vancouver to Whittier or 16 southbound Whittier to Vancouver vacations, each combining three days in Anchorage with a scenic seven-day Voyage of the Glaciers cruise onboard Grand Princess, Royal Princess, or Sapphire Princess.

Cruisetour participants will fly to King Salmon from Anchorage to reach Brooks Lodge, where they can spend a day observing large brown bears engaging in the annual ritual of welcoming returning sockeye salmon. Hiking opportunities on scenic trails, crossing natural brown bear habitats and salmon feeding locations, including the iconic Brooks Falls, are also part of the experience. A midday lunch and an exclusive souvenir designed for Princess guests are included.

Starting at $2,429 per person, Katmai National Park Cruisetours encompass a seven-day Voyage of the Glaciers cruise, two hotel nights in Anchorage, flights to and from Katmai National Park, and all necessary transfers.
