Air Arabia, a pioneering budget airline in the Middle East and North Africa, recently celebrated the launch of its inaugural flight to Phuket, Thailand. The event took place at Sharjah International Airport and was graced by the presence of Her Excellency Miss Nipa Nirannoot, the Thai Consul-General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, and His Excellency Mr. Khanin Boony Asopat, the Thai Consul in the UAE. High-ranking officials from both Sharjah International Airport and Air Arabia also attended.
Adel Al Ali, the CEO of Air Arabia Group, expressed his enthusiasm about the new route to Phuket, a popular tourist destination. He emphasized Air Arabia’s commitment to expanding its route network, offering affordable travel options, and supporting the growth of the tourism and travel sectors in both countries.
Phuket, nestled in the Andaman Sea, is Thailand’s biggest island, celebrated for its picturesque beaches and vibrant cultural scene. The newly established route between Sharjah International Airport and Phuket International Airport will see flights running four times weekly.
Air Arabia boasts a contemporary fleet of 72 Airbus A320 and A321 planes, known for being the most advanced and popular single-aisle aircraft globally. The airline enhances the travel experience with features like ‘SkyTime’, a complimentary in-flight streaming service, and ‘SkyCafe’, an economical in-flight dining option. Additionally, the airline’s ‘Air Rewards’ loyalty program offers a unique and rewarding system for earning and redeeming points.
