Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) is set to recommence its Tel Aviv services, with non-stop flights between Zurich and Tel Aviv operating five times a week starting from January 8, 2024. The flights, utilizing Airbus A320neo-family aircraft, will run on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Following a thorough analysis of the prevailing conditions, SWISS has determined that it can safely conduct flights to and from Tel Aviv. Bookings for the resumed flights will be available from Monday, December 18.
Additionally, SWISS will proceed with its planned resumption of flight operations to and from Beirut on Saturday, December 16. Beirut will be served twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, using Airbus A220 and A320-family planes. The service to Beirut will continue until January 13, 2024, following which it will be temporarily suspended for the winter months until March 22, 2024, in accordance with previous plans.
Safety remains the top priority for SWISS, and the airline will continuously monitor the situation in Israel while maintaining close communication with local and international authorities. Schedule adjustments may be necessary based on any evolving conditions.
For SWISS customers affected by cancellations until December 15, 2023 (Beirut) or January 7, 2024 (Tel Aviv), rebooking is available free of charge for a new travel date or a full refund of the ticket price. Customers booked on flights to or from Beirut for travel up to and including December 31, 2023 (on tickets issued on or before October 12, 2023) also have the option of a full ticket refund if they choose not to travel for personal reasons despite the resumption of flights.
