Blue Innovations Group (BIG), a pioneer in marine technology, proudly revealed its highly anticipated premier creation, the R30 electric boat. John Vo, the dynamic founder and CEO, expressed his enthusiasm: “The R30 electric boat is set to redefine the boating experience, offering customers a blend of unmatched safety, performance, elegance, and value, all while upholding environmental stewardship.”
The R30 is an electric day cruiser, stretching 30 feet, equipped with a robust 221 kWh battery pack and a powerful 800 hp dual motor powertrain. This electric boat stands out with its innovative integrated user interface and solar charging features. As a first in the recreational boating sector, the R30 merges cutting-edge technology with classic design elements. It offers a fluid transition between leisure and work areas, thanks to its connected capabilities, interactive components, and adaptable layout. The ease of use extends to the boat’s controls and navigation, offering an intuitive experience. Additionally, the R30’s stern ocean terrace enhances the user experience, allowing seamless social interactions, amplified by the vessel’s silent, eco-friendly propulsion system.
“The R30 was conceptualized from the ground up. We abandoned traditional boatbuilding norms because, at a glance, most boats at a show appear identical. The ‘R’ in R30 symbolizes Revolution; our goal was to introduce something both radically distinct and superior,” Vo elaborated.
“We are excited to introduce the R30 in Pinellas County, Florida, a community that has been supportive since our inception. The R30 is a symbol of American ingenuity and the advanced technologies emerging from Florida,” Vo added. Notably, the R30 is the inaugural 30ft electric day cruiser designed and produced in Florida.
Prospective customers can reserve the R30 with a $1,000 “Blue Reservation,” which includes standard delivery. Alternatively, a $5,000 “BIG Reservation” offers access to the first 100 electric boats. BIG anticipates commencing R30 deliveries in the third quarter of 2024.
“Following our unveiling at the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), we’ve witnessed a surge in interest from both seasoned and new boaters, reflecting a consensus that the R30 is a much-needed breakthrough in the electric boat industry,” Vo concluded.
