Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) will be holding the fifth version of its Flying Film Festival on-board its long-haul facilities from 1 December this year and 31 January next year. The fiesta, which was set up in 2015 along with filmmakers Francesca Scalisi and Mark Olexa, is aimed toward short documentary and animated movies. The fiesta complements SWISS’s systematic on-board amusement programme, and is envisioned to focus on young and gifted directors from around the world and offer their work to wider spectators. It is the only film carnival in the world to be organized completely mid-air.
This year’s Flying Film Festival will present an interesting assortment of 14 short movies from Belgium, Canada, the Czech Republic, France, China, Italy, Finland, the Netherlands, Mexico, Switzerland and the US.
