Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) has announced a forthcoming change in its Management Board. After serving the company for five years, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Tamur Goudarzi Pour is set to transition into a role within the Lufthansa Group. In his new capacity, he will assume responsibility for the Lufthansa Group’s Customer Experience division and lead a Lufthansa Group-wide taskforce dedicated to enhancing customer satisfaction in the coming year.
SWISS CEO Dieter Vranckx expresses his gratitude, stating, “I extend my sincere appreciation to Tamur Goudarzi Pour for his dedication and contributions to our organization. He played a pivotal role in successfully launching our SWISS Premium Economy Class and was instrumental in our rapid recovery from the challenges posed by the recent pandemic, restoring our position as one of Europe’s most profitable airlines. Under Tamur’s guidance, we have diligently pursued our long-term capacity planning, making us the most stable airline in Europe today. Tamur has also advanced our fleet modernization with the introduction of our new long-haul Airbus A350s, and his work on ‘SWISS Senses’ has laid the groundwork for our future SWISS product. We wish him every success in his new role within the Lufthansa Group.”
Effective January 1, 2024, Heike Birlenbach will assume the role of Chief Commercial Officer at SWISS. She currently serves as Senior Vice President Customer Experience for Lufthansa Group Airlines, a position she has held since 2021. In this role, she oversees customer strategy, experience design, customer service, digital interactions, and product development, including aircraft cabin interior design. Prior to her current role, Birlenbach served as Chief Commercial Officer of Lufthansa Airlines and Senior Vice President of Sales for Lufthansa Group Network Airlines. She joined the Lufthansa Group in 1990 and held various management positions, primarily in sales and product development, in locations such as London, Amsterdam, Milan, Munich, and Frankfurt. Birlenbach holds a Master of Management degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
