For the commencement of the annual Web in Travel (WiT) conference, more than 400 international travel industry professionals have arrived in Singapore. Speakers from eminent organizations including Airbnb, Agoda, Sabre, Expedia, JetBlue, Wego, Pan Pacific Hotel Group, and many others will address the delegates.
This year’s program is focused on managing AI’s expanding influence in travel in response to its rapid development. The travel business is undergoing upheaval on an unfathomable scale due to the prevalence and advancement of technology. The Human Revolution, an event that will be held from October 2-4, will be centered on the pace of change in the travel sector and the continued development of artificial intelligence.
Siew Hoon Yeoh, founder of Web in Travel says that every facet of travel is fundamentally changing due to artificial intelligence and we must quickly take advantage of these advancements to avoid falling behind as a species. This program will go further into important issues including the tech trends that are making travel professionals equally as enthusiastic and afraid, the “human” versus “machine” aspect of travel and the role of technology and data in the green revolution.
