Qatar Airways has launched an in-house app designed to offer personalized experiences to passengers through its Cabin Crew. Initially focused on providing real-time insights into flight, customer, and service information, this app enables Crew members to access passenger profiles, including privileges for club members and oneworld members, as well as specific service requests and preferences. This ensures a more tailored and cohesive journey with the renowned airline. Additionally, the app equips Cabin Crew with the latest digital training materials, empowering them further.
In the upcoming months, Qatar Airways will achieve a crucial milestone by distributing over 15,000 mobile devices to its Cabin Crew in this digital transformation phase. The airline plans to gradually implement this project across various stages, expanding its coverage to Hamad International Airport, overseas airports, and lounges. This extension aims to integrate passengers’ individual itineraries and needs across all touchpoints.
Engr Badr Mohammed Al Meer, Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, expressed enthusiasm about this new phase, emphasizing its potential to elevate the airline’s onboard experience. Al Meer highlighted Qatar Airways’ commitment to innovation and digital adaptation, addressing emerging trends to enhance customer comfort and convenience. He sees this project as a significant move toward fostering more connected and insightful interactions between customers and staff.
By embracing digital solutions, Qatar Airways not only streamlines its processes but also exhibits a dedication to reducing paper waste, transitioning towards more sustainable operational practices.
Throughout the year, Qatar Airways has made substantial progress in its digital transformation. Its collaboration with Google Cloud to explore data analytics and artificial intelligence solutions underscores the airline’s continuous efforts to improve customer experiences and sustainability.
