The Kingdom proudly stands as a global center for falconry enthusiasts and is set to host a momentous event from December 28 to January 5. During this time, the most significant awards ever seen in the history of falcon competitions worldwide will be presented. The Saudi Falcons Club, in partnership with the Royal Commission for AlUla, is meticulously organizing the inaugural AlUla Falcon Cup 2023 in the AlUla governorate, with a remarkable prize pool of SAR60 million.
The AlUla Falcon Cup builds upon the success of the recently concluded King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival. This festival attracted top local and international falconers who competed in the esteemed Al-Milwah and Al-Mazayen contests. It notably secured its place in the Guinness World Records for the third time, establishing itself as the largest global falconry competition in terms of participating falcons, with an impressive 2,654 birds from eight countries. This achievement highlights the leadership’s unwavering commitment and consistent support in preserving the Kingdom’s cultural heritage, in alignment with the objectives outlined in the Saudi Vision 2030.
With a substantial prize sum of SAR60 million, the AlUla Falcon Cup stands as the most lucrative competition of its kind worldwide. Distinguished local and international falconers will compete across four categories in the Al-Milwah and Al-Mazayen contests.
This event serves as a platform to honor the legacy of the Kingdom’s falconers, celebrating their cherished cultural tradition while showcasing it globally. Furthermore, it emphasizes environmental awareness, wildlife conservation, and offers crucial support to local falconers, fostering their continuous growth and skill enhancement.
