Matka, Helsinki, Trade Fair

Every year, the Finnish city of Helsinki hosts the travel industry trade show Matka. The Finnish word for “travel” is “Matka”. In Northern Europe and the Baltics, the fair is among the biggest and most significant travel exhibits.

Finland is a beautiful place to visit in January. 2024’s Matka Nordic Travel Fair will take place from January 19–21 at Helsinki’s Messukeskus Expo & Convention Centre. The expo will be instrumental in focusing on ways to reduce the adverse effects of international travel, heavily on sustainable tourism.

The Finnish Fair Corporation, a prominent participant in the world of fairs and congresses, is the host of the Matka, which happens to serve as both travellers with a passion for travel and professionals in the travel sector. These involve different tour operators and travel agency operators.

Novel vacation locations, cutting-edge travel services, and the newest developments in the travel sector are among Matka’s dominant themes. In addition to learning about the newest travel locations, attendees of the expo have the chance to make direct reservations and network with important business people. Furthermore, the fair happens to act as a venue relating to contract negotiations as well as industry relationship maintenance.

The extensive coverage of diverse travel styles and locations, from luxury travel to sustainable and ethical tourism, is one of Matka’s unique selling points. Transportation, lodging, travel insurance, and a host of other travel-related goods and services are all available on the platform that the fair offers.

The extended COVID situation and the limits stipulated by the authorities have caused the Matka Nordic Travel Fair to be rescheduled for January 2024. The event will take place again on January 19–21, 2024, at the Messukeskus Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre.

Not to mention the delicious Greek food, one will be able to explore amazing natural sites and activities. People will be able to hear about the diversity of Greek travel destinations and learn about the rich history of ancient times.

Around 50,000 customers and nearly 15,000 travel industry professionals attend the event each year. Matka is only open to travel industry professionals on Wednesdays and Thursdays during the exhibition week.
