“Where Dreams Take Flight” serves as the theme for Brussels Airport’s year-end campaign. At Brussels Airport, both big and small dreams come to life, creating a magical atmosphere inside and outside the terminal. This year, the airport has spared no effort to craft a captivating experience for visitors.
Upon arrival, passengers are greeted by a spectacle of lights, numerous Christmas trees, and enchanting decorations like Santa Claus’s magical sled, an oversized armchair, and a dazzling giant Christmas bauble illuminating the departures hall. The festive spirit extends beyond mere visuals, offering passengers the chance to participate in various activities. They can send postcards to loved ones or capture original photos against snowy backdrops, which are then transformed into snow globes.
To enhance the holiday ambiance, DJs selected through a recent contest will take turns at the Après Sky DJ Booth near Pier A from December 22 to January 4. Santa Claus and his cheerful elves will be present post-security check to bring joy to children. Notably, passengers can contribute to a noble cause by purchasing special red Christmas baubles, with all proceeds benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation, dedicated to fulfilling the dreams of ill children.
For those embarking on Christmas travel, whether to seaside retreats or snowy landscapes, Brussels Airport anticipates a bustling season. The airport expects over 850,000 passengers from December 22 to January 7, reflecting a 3% increase from 2022. The peak day is projected to be December 22, with nearly 60,000 passengers, including over 32,000 departures.
The extensive flight offerings include 135 destinations worldwide, featuring new additions like Amman (Royal Jordanian) and Jeddah (Flynas). Increased capacity is also slated for routes to Doha (Qatar Airways), Abu Dhabi (Etihad Airways), and TUI fly services to Morocco, Tunisia, and Algeria.
Travelers seeking sun-drenched locales can choose from destinations such as Egypt, Cape Verde Islands, Gambia, Dominican Republic, Cuba, and Mexico. Alternatively, those craving snow have options like flights to Innsbruck and Salzburg in Austria, as well as Kittila and Kuusamo in Finland.
Brussels Airport eagerly anticipates welcoming passengers to share in the festive and magical atmosphere, creating memorable moments for all.
