Virgin Atlantic has announced that it will increase the frequency of New York and Boston services.
This means that they will offer an average of up to 27 daily departures from the US to the UK.
The destinations to which it will operate include Los Angeles, Atlanta, Miami, San Francisco, Orlando, Seattle, Tampa, and Washington, DC.
There will be a seventh daily flight to JFK airport that will be mandated by the airlines, and a joint venture with Delta will be effective.
Virgin Atlantic will effectively begin its second daily flight to Boston, which will add to Delta’s daily service.
Shai Weiss, the CEO of Virgin Atlantic, told the media that at the end of the year, the airlines aim to yield a return in profitability in 2024 for Virgin Atlantic. He also clarified how he meant to balance the network and cost of Virgin Atlantic amidst external issues like wars and oil prices.
The Chief Commercial Officer at Virgin Atlantic, Juha Jarvinen, spoke to the media about the excitement surrounding the launch of additional flights in the USA for the summer of 2024.
