SkyTeam expands in China, tailors corporate travel

Increased Market Capacity
SkyTeam stands out as the primary alliance in Greater China, boasting three regional members – China Eastern, Xiamen Air, and China Airlines – along with a collective of 13 SkyTeam affiliates operating flights to, from, and within the region. Covering a network spanning over 160 cities across Greater China, SkyTeam solidified its reach through a strategic partnership with China United Airlines, significantly enhancing its network breadth and competitive edge. Year-to-date, the cumulative Available Seat Kilometers (ASKs) provided by SkyTeam members serving the Greater China market have surged by over 50% compared to the previous year.

Tailored Global Travel
To qualify for a SCCC (SkyTeam Corporate Contract), organizations must be based in China and demonstrate a minimum total air expenditure of ¥2 Million CNY across three or more SkyTeam member airlines, with at least ¥1 Million CNY allocated to international travel. Each company holds the freedom to choose the SkyTeam members they wish to include in their agreement, with the condition that travel originates in Greater China. Simplifying the process, a single point of contact streamlines communication for travel managers, eliminating the need to coordinate with multiple airlines.
