National Jet Express (NJE), a member of the Rex Group, has unveiled securing a fresh mining agreement in Western Australia on behalf of FQM Australia Nickel and Allkem. This recent deal entails NJE facilitating six weekly charter flights utilizing 104-seat Embraer E190 jets between Perth and Ravensthorpe in southern WA.
Craig Martin, NJE’s Chief Operating Officer, highlighted, “This new contract underscores NJE’s significant penetration into Western Australia’s resources market and nationwide, following the recent acquisition of two additional WA mining accounts and the expansion of NJE’s operations in Queensland.”
Remarkably, NJE swiftly initiated operations on Friday, December 15, a feat achieved within two weeks of securing the contract. Craig praised the NJE team for delivering this new account to a new port in their network in an impressively short time, showcasing the company’s capability and adaptability in serving Australia’s resource markets.
The escalating demand for NJE’s services across Australia is compelling the company to expand its fleet and crew support for both Dash 8-400NG and E190 operations by the end of the current Financial Year.
NJE’s growth aligns with that of the Rex Group, the foremost regional operator of Regular Passenger Transport services in rural and regional Australia, supplemented by an expanding network of domestic flights employing Boeing 737-800NG aircraft. NJE’s exceptional operational reliability mirrors Rex’s consistent achievement of the highest On-Time Performance and minimal cancellations among all airlines in Australia.
