IHCL, India’s foremost hospitality firm, has unveiled the inauguration of Taj Sawai in Ranthambore today. Situated on the fringes of Ranthambore National Park, this hotel serves as an idyllic haven for those seeking the thrill of spotting the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger during a safari.

Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of IHCL, expressed, “Having been present in Rajasthan for over five decades, IHCL shares a special bond with the state. Recognized for placing Rajasthan on the global tourism map, we persist in broadening our presence in novel locales, offering diverse experiences. The launch of Taj Sawai, our second hotel in Ranthambore, marks a significant step in this direction within one of India’s most renowned National Parks.”

Located in Khilchipur Village, the 60-key hotel embodies a lavish retreat boasting colonial-inspired design elements influenced by the region’s rich flora and fauna. A fusion of tradition, nature, and modern aesthetics, the serene water features accentuate the ambience. Guests can relish a gastronomic journey at Machan, an all-day diner with a forest theme, Tropics—a grill and pool bar, and the rustic Whiskey Lounge. Spanning over 2,500 square feet, the banquet space and an open lawn cater to elegant gatherings and meetings. Drawing inspiration from India’s ancient wellness heritage, the J Wellness Circle spa, equipped with an infinity pool and fitness center, offers holistic rejuvenation.

A team of seasoned naturalists, regaling visitors with enthralling stories and profound insights into the exquisite flora and fauna, guarantees exhilarating safaris at the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve—one of the country’s largest tiger habitats.

Kunal Roy, General Manager of Taj Sawai, Ranthambore, remarked, “Taj Sawai will immerse our guests in a plethora of experiences, including wildlife safaris. We eagerly await welcoming guests with Taj’s renowned warm hospitality.”

Sawai Madhopur serves as the gateway to Ranthambore, a celebrated tiger reserve, and the Ranthambore fort—a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It stands as one of India’s most sought-after destinations for wildlife aficionados and adventure seekers.

With the addition of this property, IHCL will boast a total of 23 hotels, including 8 under development, across various brands like Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta, and Ginger in Rajasthan.
