The conclusion of Chill 11, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), marked a triumphant finish today. The event showcased about 170 exhibitors and brands presenting a diverse array of artistic, cultural, and culinary offerings, as well as entertainment experiences. This vibrant amalgamation provided an exceptional retail-entertainment journey for residents of Hong Kong and Macao, along with visitors from the broader Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The event brought together celebrities, esteemed chefs, and cultural pioneers.

Sophia Chong, HKTDC Deputy Executive Director, said: “Chill 11 was brought to the public for the first time. We were delighted to see the event serve as both a leisure destination during the holidays and as a promotion platform for local small and medium-sized brands and cultural and creative industries. The event has helped to increase the awareness of these brands and promote cultural and creative exchange in the GBA.”

Under the lead sponsorship of Create Hong Kong from the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (CreateHK) and backed by over 100 partners, Chill 11 presented a diverse range of entertainment experiences, encompassing more than 60 performances and workshops throughout its four-day duration.

The curated approach by HKTDC received warm appreciation from exhibitors. Dr. Priscillia Wong, Founding Chairman of Chinese Western Culture Arts Association Limited, lauded Chill 11 as a forward-thinking event that seamlessly merged emotional consumption with cultural, artistic, and retail elements. The event’s Art Café significantly contributed to brand promotion.

Li Qian, Deputy Director of Shenzhen Luohu District Development and Reform Bureau, praised Chill 11 for its creative and engaging theme and layout, offering visitors numerous photo opportunities. Luohu aimed to leverage insights from Hong Kong’s trends, art, and design to establish a cultural industries platform in both cities. He mentioned the popularity of their trendy shopping guides, swiftly taken up by attendees on the event’s opening day.

Visitors from the Greater Bay Area and local residents relished the event’s offerings, including gift bags and a thrilling lucky draw. Families like Mr. Chan’s purchased merchandise, engaged in activities like drawing, and were particularly drawn to the captivating 32-meter Chill Castle inflatable entertainment facility. Their positive experience made them open to attending similar future events. Mr. and Mrs. Yeung, regular participants in HKTDC exhibitions, were thrilled to win accommodation in a local hotel during the grand lucky draw. They praised the concept behind Chill 11 and expressed their happiness.

The event’s grand lucky draw featured coveted prizes such as tickets to a popular singer’s concert at AsiaWorld-Expo, round-trip flights to Bangkok, luxurious hotel stays, theme park tickets, shopping vouchers, high-end watches, and travel bags.
