According to Cruise Critic, PortMiami in Miami-Dade County has been termed the best North American homeport. It has been instrumental in providing top-notch services to the worldwide cruise industry.
The seaport has been chosen to receive the 2023 Editors’ Picks Award because, aside from that, it provides travellers and cruise lines with an experience that is unmatched.
Mayor of Miami-Dade County Daniella Levine-Cava told the media that PortMiami’s unwavering dedication to innovation and customer service is demonstrated by this honour. It reaffirms its status as the global centre for cruise travel.
In fiscal year 2023, PortMiami welcomed 7,299,294 passengers and broke all previous cruise activity records. In comparison to its previous record of 6,823,816 passengers in Fiscal Year 2019, the Port saw a 6.97% increase in cruise passenger totals. For the ninth consecutive fiscal year, the Port’s cargo recorded 1,098,322 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU), exceeding the one million TEU threshold.
PortMiami is an international cruise hub that connects cruise passengers to some of the most popular destinations in the Caribbean and beyond. Modern cruise terminals and a commitment to client satisfaction have made PortMiami the industry leader in both operational effectiveness and passenger experience.
Hydi Webb, who is the director and CEO of PortMiami, told the media that the port happens to be as strong as its partners and employees. All staff members have been instructed to prioritise the safety and satisfaction of customers.
