During the festive season, Iberia airline has planned an array of delightful surprises for its patrons. To spread holiday cheer, passengers on every flight will be treated to traditional holiday sweets like nougat and marzipan. Furthermore, those traveling in Business class on long-distance routes will savor a festive meal featuring succulent roast turkey, complemented by cranberry demi-glace and Christmas stuffing. For dessert, Business class travelers will indulge in a chocolate and caramelized pineapple semi-sphere, while Premium Economy and Economy passengers will enjoy a festive chocolate mousse with a Christmas spice crumble.
On shorter, medium-haul journeys, Business class passengers will relish a sumptuous vanilla cake layered with raspberry jelly atop a spiced gingerbread base.
To ring in the New Year, passengers flying from Latin America to Madrid on the last day of the year will be treated to grapes and cava for a traditional toast to 2024.
A Unique Three Kings’ Day Celebration
On 6 January, to commemorate Three Kings’ Day, the airline will delight passengers on certain long-haul flights with a traditional roscón cake containing a total of 230,000 Avios hidden inside. Prizes include a grand reward of 100,000 Avios, a second prize of 50,000, and 80 additional prizes of 1,000 Avios each.
Additionally, for the fourth year, the airline offers a special opportunity for children to video chat with the Three Wise Men. This heartwarming experience can be accessed from any mobile device between 25 December and 5 January by visiting a dedicated website.
New Gastrobar Menu Additions
December brings a refreshed menu to the Iberia airline’s gastrobar service. Popular requests like the croque Monsieur return, alongside a new hot dog served in a brioche bun, accompanied by classic condiments. New snack options include sea salt crisps and allergen-free seed bread.
The dessert menu introduces tempting options like a chocolate muffin, Lotus cookies, Pancracio chocolate, and PLAYin Choc organic chocolate for younger travelers. A special holiday cookie with chocolate and cherry flavors adds to the festive offerings.
Updated Pre-Order Service
From December, the pre-order service allows Iberia passengers to place their orders 12 hours in advance for flights departing from Madrid and 18 hours for other departures. The winter menu includes a Coronation sandwich with turkey and curry, fresh salads, pasta with mushroom sauce, meat lasagna, and a delectable chocolate cake with raspberry layer.
Enhanced In-Flight Entertainment
The airline’s in-flight entertainment system embraces the festive spirit with a special ‘It’s Christmas’ category featuring classic holiday films and new releases. This includes beloved movies like Love Actually, The Grinch, and Home Alone, alongside new releases like Barbie, Mystery in Venice, and My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3.
Additionally, passengers can enjoy Spanish and Latin American film premieres, new seasons of popular TV series, and engaging podcasts. A new ‘Training in the Air’ category in the TV section offers educational content from renowned institutions, providing a unique learning experience during flights.
