Iceland is slowly moving toward taxes to decrease the effect of tourism’s exponential growth that it has on its unspoiled wilderness, Katrin Jakobsdottir, Prime Minister of Iceland said.
She added that in the last decade, tourism has truly grown a lot in Iceland and that clearly is not just creating impacts on the climate, Jakobsdottir mentioned this in a recent interview on Wednesday with Shery Ahn on Bloomberg Television from New York.
