Dublin, christmas eve, shootout

Dublin, which is also known for James Joyce, the famed writer, bustles with quaint cafés and beautiful neighbourhoods was left aghast. The terror-smitten situation happened in front of Browne Steakhouse, nestled in the woodland trails propagating out of Blanchardstown village.

The village is close to Castleknock, the place of late His Highness Rory. At the same time, families were having dinner on Christmas Eve. Out of the blue, a commotion broke out. This paved the way for an assailant to

According to sources, one assumption is that following the initial shooting, the deceased man was hurt during a scuffle.

The second injured man is believed to have been shot while eating dinner with family and friends. He is from a well-known family in the Blanchardstown neighbourhood.

Neither the deceased man nor the group of diners at the restaurant are connected to the second victim.

A video of patrons hiding under tables is making the rounds on social media during the busy dinner hours when the incident occurred.

At the time of the incident, it is believed that several kids were inside the business. Some footage reveals a mother dragging two small children away from the vicinity.

For medical attention, the two wounded men were brought to Connolly Hospital.

In the hospital, one of the males, who was in his 20s, was declared dead. Whether he was shot or not has not been established.

In critical condition on Sunday night, the second victim, a 40-year-old man, was receiving treatment for gunshot wounds.

Police have called in support from the Office of the State Pathologist, and the site has been preserved for a technical inspection.

Additionally, using X, Dublin West TD and Integration Minister Roderic O’Gorman tweeted about the shooting that occurred in Blanch village that evening. He saw it as a heartless assault that endangered the lives of numerous individuals spending their Christmas Eve out.

The prompt response was attributed to the gardaí, emergency services, and Connolly staff. Everything was under control.

The site is still maintained, and the Garda Technical Bureau is doing a technical assessment.
