From Wednesday to Thursday, the Qatari capital is set to reclaim its status as a hub of urban innovation with the initiation of the latest installment of Smart City Expo Doha at Al Bidda Park. Now entering its third year, SCE Doha will gather 70 prominent local and international speakers, drawing participants from over 80 countries, all converging to foster innovation and leverage disruptive technologies in shaping the future of urban landscapes. While the event unfolds physically at Al-Bidda Park, it will also be broadcast live on the Tomorrow.city platform.
Organized by the Qatar Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) in collaboration with the Smart City Expo World Congress and Fira Barcelona International, the event is scheduled within the International Horticulture Exhibition of Qatar from November 29th to 30th.
With the theme “A World of Data, Connecting People, Elevating Lives,” SCE Doha underscores the pivotal role of data, connectivity, and technology in crafting more intelligent, sustainable, and livable cities for their residents, focusing on the transformative potential of cutting-edge technologies.
Over the two-day event, the roster of 70 speakers will deliver more than twenty sessions across four key themes: Green Urban Environments, Digital Governance, Cognitive Cities, and Livable Places. Participation from around forty leading companies and organizations, including Ooredoo, QNB, Meeza, Mshreib Properties, Malomatia, Huawei, Deloitte, and Google Cloud, will enrich discussions. These entities will share insights, inspire, and exchange knowledge and innovative ideas on introducing smart development to cities, showcasing various projects, initiatives, and solutions aimed at fostering a more innovative, sustainable, and inclusive urban future.
Smart City Expo Doha aligns with the internationalization strategy of the Smart City Expo World Congress, the premier exhibition on smart cities and urban solutions organized annually by Fira de Barcelona. The 13th edition of the World Congress took place last November. Following this global perspective, foreign editions have been successfully conducted in 2023 in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, the United States, Mexico, and China.
