Fiji Airways, the national airline of Fiji, is excited to announce a new interline partnership with JetBlue, headquartered in the United States.
This collaboration allows travelers to seamlessly purchase tickets for both airlines, facilitating smooth connections between Fiji Airways and JetBlue flights. The arrangement includes through-check from the initial departure point to the final destination.
Andre Viljoen, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Fiji Airways, warmly welcomes JetBlue, expressing limitless potential for both airlines. He notes that Americans desiring a vacation in Fiji will now find it significantly more convenient to connect to Fiji Airways flights from Los Angeles and San Francisco. Viljoen dispels the misconception that Fiji is too distant and challenging to reach, emphasizing that this partnership enhances accessibility to the Fijian paradise.
Viljoen expresses his delight at JetBlue joining as an interline partner, marking a strategic move to expand Fiji Airways’ presence in the United States.
The partnership enhances Fiji Airways’ focus on the U.S. market, enabling the airline to extend its award-winning service to the East Coast, Utah, and Florida. Viljoen highlights that, with JetBlue, Fiji Airways can welcome guests beyond the U.S., leveraging JetBlue’s extensive network of 100 domestic and international destinations, including major cities like Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood, Orlando, Utah, and San Juan.
This collaboration not only facilitates easy travel for Americans to Fiji but also allows them to connect seamlessly to Australia, New Zealand, Asia (Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan), and Pacific Island countries using Fiji Airways, all through a single ticket.
The partnership also benefits Fijians and other Pacific Islanders seeking to explore the United States, visit friends and family, or connect to other parts of the world. With JetBlue, travelers can plan multi-destination flights with ease, all under a single ticket.
Fiji Airways currently operates daily flights between Nadi and Los Angeles, as well as up to five times a week between Nadi and San Francisco.
