The sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, will participate in the World Travel Market (WTM) London 2023 starting Monday.

The three-day event is a premier international tourism gathering. It is a move to position the nation as a key player on the global tourism stage.

The Omani delegation is gearing up to promote the sultanate’s unique tourism offerings.

Its pavilion will host an array of government and private stakeholders, reflecting the synergy in efforts to drive tourism.

H E Azzan al Busaidi, Undersecretary for Tourism in the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism will elad the team of delegates.

WTM London is a platform for Oman to spotlight its diverse and alluring tourism features.

It allows delegates to engage with global tourism leaders to address sectoral progress and foster strategic alliances.

Oman’s pavilion will feature 26 tourism and hotel entities.

It includes Oman Botanical Garden, Omran Group, Oman Airports Company, National Travel Operator (Visit Oman), various hoteliers, travel enterprises and small and medium-sized enterprises.

Besides, it also includes the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit.

H E Busaidi outlined the ministry’s mission to enhance the tourism sector’s GDP contribution, create jobs and investment opportunities.

The ministry also showcases Oman’s rich cultural heritage.

To attain these objectives, their strategy includes expanding international engagement to showcase their tourism sector’s strengths.

They also plan to offer prominent tourism and hospitality entities prospects to secure global partnerships, as H E Busaidi informed.

This year’s extensive presentation at WTM highlights the unified efforts to meet the sultanate’s participation goals in global forums.

This ensures even small and medium-sized enterprises will have a role in bolstering the economic sector.

WTM London 2023 will see over 35,000 professionals from 4,000 entities from more than 155 countries.

It will host 75 conferences and discussions, alongside direct networking opportunities.
