The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) and the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) declared a new association, lining up to create an organized outline for hotel sustainability, going to GSTC Certification.
The association validates the prevailing WTTC Hotel Sustainability Basics at the same time as strengthening the path for a stepped development toward GSTC Certification for sustainable hotels.
During a time when sustainability is vital, WTTC and GSTC are coming together to send a powerful message to the market concerning the consistency and teamwork in the segment.
The three-stage outline for hotel sustainability will now see the incorporation amid the WTTC Hotel
Sustainability Basics verification and GSTC Certification, intended to support hotels in their trail
toward complete sustainability.
Julia Simpson, the President & CEO of the WTTC said that teaming up with a respected body like GSTC
strengthens their commitment to steering the sector toward a more sustainable future. She said that it is
important that they work with significant worldwide players like GSTC to propel change, create standards
and motivate others to follow.
Randy Durband, the CEO of GSTC said that WTTC Hotel Sustainability Basics is an excellently fashioned entry level for hotels of any dimension and category to start their trip to sustainable performances. GSTC’s
