RAK Tourism grabs two golds

At the 2022 Transform Awards MEA, an event organized once in a year of region’s best and most transformative brand work, Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority has grabbed two gold awards for new destination brands.

RAKTDA and Sputnik Floyd, strategic brand partner, were recognised by industry officials for the winning and impactful introduction of its tourism brand vision and identity in 2021. They grabbed two gold awards for ‘Best Place or Nation Brand’ and ‘Best Visual Identity for the Travel and Tourism Sector’ along with silver for ‘Best Creative Strategy’ and bronze for ‘Best Visual Identity for the Public Sector’.

The Transform Awards was launched to acknowledge best practice in corporate, product and global brand development work. It rewards excellence across the entire brand development process, starting right from creativity to strategic planning. It acts as a yardstick when it comes to region’s branding and reputational change.

Raki Phillips, CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, explained that it’s amazing to see that our advancement and creativity is getting recognised by Transform MEA. In the last few years, travel and tourism has been going through severe disturbance. We realized the urgency to re-imagine tourism and the place of Emirates against this backdrop.


Travellers of modern day are keen on going beyond the traditional holiday experience, looking for new and satisfying experiences where they can submerge themselves and get a sense of purpose in travelling.
