Here is a list of all hands meeting activities that promote engagement and make the gathering enjoyable, from icebreakers to guest speakers to gameshows.
The holidays will be different this year, with a first festive celebration in person ever since the pandemic hiatus. Everyone is in the mood for holiday celebrations!
So join in the excitement and provide your team with something enjoyable to do before they depart the year. To put your best foot forward in the new year, think of a festive meeting that also enables you to finish up any loose ends before you leave the office.
Here is a list of all hands meeting activities that promote engagement and make the gathering enjoyable, from icebreakers to guest speakers to gameshows.
Holiday trivia
Indulge in a quiz to keep everyone attentive and focused during the discussion. It will make the event a little more enjoyable. Throughout the meeting, you might ask questions and provide answers, or you could ask a few questions up front. Make the inquiries about the company, but keep them informal. such as which client made which statement or where on the network the expenses sheet is stored.
Reward fun prizes
Why not give your workers some enjoyable awards for their exemplary work throughout the holiday season? It’s always wonderful to be recognised, even if it’s only for something as simple as brewing the best cup of tea or sporting the best socks in the office. They don’t even have to be serious. Gather nominations before the conference and offer miniature certificates or real prizes like wine or chocolates.
Build ice-breaker, celebratory activities
You can create anticipation and give participants time to get ready by revealing the activities before the meeting. Not everyone is at ease writing songs or disclosing personal information right away. Some participants like to be given advance notice to prepare their responses. Activities like treasure hunts, copycats, buzzwords, and others are enjoyable ways to break the ice and strengthen teamwork.
Christmas tree decoration and encouraging festive wear
With Christmas just around the corner, what better way to liven up the mood than gathering around the Christmas tree and adorning every nook and corner with lights and ornaments!
It can create a welcoming atmosphere for your association’s personnel, helping them feel more at home and easing the transition for any new team members. So joining in the fun as a team is a terrific way to strengthen your bonds.
Bring out any decorations you have for your tree, including as ornaments, tinsel, garland, and the like, and let your team members decorate it as they see fit. Wearing a Christmas jumper to work is also a trend becoming customary now. But you don’t have to stop at sweaters; why not organise a funny Santa hat meeting or a day of festive fancy dress?
Engage in a brief hackathon
In a hackathon, participants collaborate in teams to develop original ideas or products. These events typically take 24 to 48 hours, however during an all-hands meeting you may do a shortened version in an hour or two. Encourage attendees to form groups before outlining the prompt or themes.
You can invite teams to create a new logo or tagline for a very brief hackathon, develop a single webpage, create a sales pitch, or come up with an event.
While virtual participants can use breakout rooms to brainstorm and interact, in-person groups can separate out and work on the projects in various parts of the room. Make sure you allot time after the meeting for groups to exchange their ideas.
