The Global Centre of Rail Excellence in South Wales will play host to a unique networking event on Thursday 13th July.
In partnership with the Women in Rail Wales Committee and Young Rail Professionals, the GCRE team will be holding an open day at their 700–hectare site in South Wales.
The day will be an opportunity to network with colleagues from across the country and listen to a series of industry speakers about how to enhance equality, diversity, and inclusion in the rail sector.
There will be the opportunity to hear from GCRE about its new facility as it transitions its site from a former open-cast coal mine to becoming Europe’s premier rail research, testing, and certification facility.
Sian Bower, Co-Chair of the Women in Rail Wales Committee exclaimed that Women in Rail is delighted to be taking this innovative networking event to the Global Centre of Rail Excellence in South Wales.
