Tori Emerson Barnes, Executive Vice President of U.S. Travel Association, recently issued the following declaration on the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation sanction of Mike Whitaker to assists as the manager of the Federal Aviation Administration.
The strong bipartisan vote of the committee to take Mike Whitaker forward as FAA administrator is positive evidence that finally a decision is being taken for this critical role, which for over 18 months has remained vacant.
Considering the scope in terms of his credentials, his strong support all over travel and aviation industry groups, and the critical requirement to update the air system of the country to meet the demand of the travelers, U.S. Travel requests the Senate to move quickly to confirm the nomination of Mr. Whitaker to lead the FAA.
