AnadoluJet, a subsidiary of Turkish Airlines, made a revolutionary change and became “AJet Air Transportation Inc.,” poised to take the aviation world by storm come March 2024. The rebranding is a strategic move to establish AJet as a prominent player in the global low-cost aviation market. It was unveiled at the Turkish Technic Hangar at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport.
Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of Turkish Airlines, expressed satisfaction in reaching this milestone, saying, “We’re thrilled to introduce AJet with its new identity. Our long-term efforts have paid off. With a planned March 2024 summer schedule launch, we expect AJet to make a major global impact on the low-cost aviation industry.”
AJet is committed to global standards and market competitiveness and will operate out of Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen and Ankara Esenboğa Airports. By adopting an eco-friendly strategy, the airline hopes to stand out in the “Low Cost” market while keeping an eye on sustainability. In order to convert cost advantages into reasonable ticket prices and make air travel more accessible to a larger audience, simplified services and an economy class configuration are implemented.
This action is in line with Turkish Airlines’ ten-year plan and establishes AJet as a major force in the aviation sector. This ambitious project is a calculated reaction to the increasing demand for affordable, eco-friendly air travel options. The countdown to AJet’s first flights is underway, and excitement is growing for a new era of reasonably priced, environmentally friendly air travel.
