The Latvian national airline, airBaltic, has officially closed the submission period for its design contest for the 50th Airbus A220-300 aircraft. This competition garnered significant global attention, with over 840 innovative designs submitted by talented individuals worldwide. Now, the airBaltic Design Committee has meticulously shortlisted the top 21 designs, marking the beginning of public voting.
Martin Gauss, the CEO and President of airBaltic, expressed his excitement at the widespread interest in the design competition. He noted the diverse array of designs received, ranging from those that celebrate national themes, symbols, and nature to abstract and contemporary solutions, creating a highly competitive field. Gauss extended his gratitude on behalf of airBaltic to all participants for their effort, time, creativity, and talent. To partake in the voting, individuals must be members of the airBaltic Club.
Each airBaltic Club member is entitled to one vote, which can be cast until January 4th, 2023, at 23:59 Riga time.
Furthermore, in addition to helping select the winning design, voters will automatically enter a raffle. The raffle’s enticing prize includes two one-way tickets aboard airBaltic’s 50th Airbus A220-300, valid for travel to any airBaltic destination.
