Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, declares about the inauguration of its reimagined special dining idea, Humuhumunukunukuāpuaʻa, as part of the renewal of five food and beverage venues so far.
Appropriately termed after Humuhumunukunukuāpuaʻa, the state fish of Hawaiʻi, opens for everyone with a completely reshaped space and menu style, overflowing with the finest seafood, advanced cocktails, and a craftily curated list of amazing wines of the world, set amongst spectacular ocean views.
JP Oliver, Managing Director, Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, said that they’re exhilarated to requests to visit and experience the fresh look and feel of Humuhumunukunukuāpuaʻa, along with tasting pioneering dishes from Ryan Urig, their brilliant Executive Chef. Oliver also says that as their resort’s flagship dining venue, Humuhumunukunukuāpuaʻa exemplifies their aim on the synchronization between culture, nature, and modern luxury, which makes it ideal for the next era of Grand Wailea.
A classic union of Hawaiian charm with antique Beaux-Arts style, the new Humuhumunukunukuāpuaʻa throws light on the loveliness of the island with eclectic touches. Recreated by Tihany Design, the studio tops Grand Wailea’s restored spaces to date, the immersive restaurant and lounge has a striking round-shaped aquarium that doubles as the bar top, a charming fixture different to any other in the Hawaiian Islands.
