Well, this is my first time in Seville too. It’s a good opportunity to visit here if you are working with the MICE or tourism industry. Also, it is a good time to see the technology and innovations in the global market because everyone from the five continents who came here, exhibits and contests with innovation and technology. I think it’s a good time.
Tussle between Hybrid or Conventional Show
From the TCEB, Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau, we try to enhance MICE with meetings, incentive, convention and exhibition to make an event a festival. We try to enhance Thailand as one of the leaders in MICE in the Asian market. I think, when you are organizing events you cannot destroy so many things. It’s a good time to learn how to reduce and reuse something again because when you organize the events, you can calculate the carbon credits from the applications and the platform that you can affix. Also if you know about the credit, you can also affix it after the event.
Face to Face or Cloud Events
During COVID-19 I think everything turned to our life. You can see a little bit of hybrid events and after the countries reopen, it’s high time to connect with people. Choosing a combination between the online and offline in some function is quite symbolic that you need to connect with people again. You can see conventions and conferences online also.
Really Important MICE Market
First, we tried to develop the domestic market during COVID-19, enhance them with some standards, innovations and technology to make them stronger. In India, Singapore, Malaysia and other countries of SE Asia, there is a huge market for us to connect with people.
Thus, Thailand is the MICE paradise of South-East Asia. So, we thought that Asian market is quite huge. Nevertheless, we cannot forget Europeans and the US market as well. So, we used innovation technology and hygiene standards to connect with them when they come to visit Thailand.
