The Department of Tourism (DOT) reiterates its backing for the Marcos administration’s aim to lift the medical tourism sector in the Philippines by cooperating with industry shareholders in aesthetics, aging and wellness. Christina Garcia Frasco, the Tourism Secretary highlighted that it is seen as a probable robust progression hub for the Philippines.
The Tourism Secretary said this in the course of the inaugural event of the 11 th Philippine Academy of
Aesthetic and Age Management Medicine Inc. convention.
The tourism chief said that last year, the size of the medical tourism market remained at USD 115 billion,
and the segment is predictable to develop at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 32.51 percent
between 2022 to 2023.
Christina Garcia Frasco said that they at the Department of Tourism are dedicated to support medical tourism with the assistance of their shareholders in cultivating a strong setting for their healthcare specialists and a hospitable atmosphere for medical tourism clienteles.
