On December 14th, the Transpennine Route Upgrade unveiled a new book in collaboration with author Chris Madeley. The launch event took place in Huddersfield and featured 60 students from Spring Grove Primary School who had the privilege of getting an early glimpse of the book. This book, designed for children, offers insights into railway safety, the advantages of the TRU program, and fascinating facts about the locations along the route.

On Wednesday, December 6, the Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU) organized its quarterly Safety Step Up Day, dedicated to enhancing the safety culture and promoting a secure work environment. The event, held at the John Smith’s Stadium in Huddersfield, focused on wellbeing and addressed fatigue, bringing together 525 TRU colleagues for a day of team-building activities, workshops, exhibitions, and guest speaker discussions, providing ample networking opportunities.
